       Krista McMillan was born in Granby Quebec and has since lived in Ontario Canada. She has had a keen interest in art and nature since childhood. She attended George Brown College in Toronto where she studied jewelry arts. After working as a goldsmith, she then began to study the art of figurative gemstone carving. She studied under renowned gemstone artist Ute Klien Burnhardt and went on to win three prestigious cutting edge awards. Krista has recently gone back to her first love, portrait and wildlife painting . She continues to combine her adventures in the great outdoors with her passion for painting.
